For Social Secretaries

After seven years of sterling service as social secretaries, Rosemary Keily and Jennifer Marshall have handed in their notice. I think all Ramblers who have attended and enjoyed the Friday evening meetings in Matlock will feel a huge sense of regret, as well as warm appreciation of all the hard work they have put in over the years. Thank you very much indeed to both of you. Rosemary commented that perhaps two other people might like to take over the task and revitalise it, generating new ideas along the way.

Both Rosemary and Jennifer will be happy to help and support any volunteers for the task of social secretaries. They already have a list of guest speakers, and the hall is booked until March 2010. However, if the Ramblers lose this slot at the Imperial Rooms, Matlock on the third Friday of the month, we would be most unlikely to get it back again. So, surely amongst the seven hundred or so Derbyshire Dales Ramblers there are two who could work as a team to keep the social evening going?
