The Ramblers - Derbyshire Dales Group

Macular Disease walk

The walk is in Buxton on the Saturday 24th April 2010 and will support the Macular Disease Society. Macular disease is the most common form of registered visual impairment in the UK.

Volunteers

I am looking for volunteer to help marshal the walk. There is an 8 mile walk around Goyt Valley and a 2 mile walk to Solomon’s Temple. Both starting and finishing at the Pavilion Gardens.

The 8 mile walk starts at 10 am and the 2 mile at 12 noon.

Ideally volunteers will help put signs out around the route from 8 am. But if volunteers are only available for the walks themselves (and slightly before to get them in place) we would still welcome their contribution.

All Marshals will work in pairs and if you wish to stay with a partner or friend that is fine.

We will pay travel expenses within reason and provide a picnic lunch.

Please feel free to pass my contact details onto any interested parties. Please let me know if you need any other information.

Thank you for your help

Kind regards,

Sarah Gillies
