AREA TREASURER’S REPORT
The 2008/09 financial year finished with a deficit of £669.23 as Derbyshire Area and Groups continue to reduce cash reserves along with a smaller allocation of funding from Central Office.
This has resulted in a big reduction of the Area bank account over the last three financial years, as below:
30th September 2007 - £4,821.10
30th September 2008 - £2,044.32
30th September 2009 - £1375.09
Funding from Central Office was £500 less than the previous year but will increase significantly for 2009/10.
Payments to Groups decreased, this was due to only two Groups receiving Area funding while the other two used cash reserves that had built up within their bank accounts.
Included within the accounts is the current value of shares - £759 held by Area in Ramblers Holidays.
