A friend of mine who is a keen walker suggested I contact you to tell you about 'Castell Cidwm' our large house which we rent out to groups in Snowdonia.

The house rests on its own 1.5 mile private lake, Llyn Cwellyn, at the base of Mount Snowdon and we think it is probably the most perfect location for a walking based break in the UK.

Snowdonia is well known for its extensive network of walking routes. There's easy access to other great walks including Carneddau, the Welsh 3000's and more - there's a walk for all levels right near the house. If you want to go up Snowdon, the Snowdon Ranger path starts just 5 minutes up the road!

The main house, which used to belong to the Marquis of Anglesey, has en-suite bedrooms and can fit up to 16 people. The lodge sleeps 4 people and the mobile home 6 - making 26 in all. Each can be rented separately or together to suit the size of the party. Walkers can use the location as a base for a new walk every day whilst non walking partners are left free to explore the region. The big kitchen allows self catering (which cuts down the cost) and, at night, the large rooms with log fires provide a great ambiance for the perfect night with friends. As well as clubs, we have rented the house to people with birthday celebrations and family get togethers.
